Bengaluru, July 25 -- Amid concerns over Urea shortage in Karnataka during the ongoing Kharif 2025 season, the Department of Fertilizers (DoF) today clarified that it has ensured timely and adequate availability of 8.73 lakh metric tonnes (LMT) of Urea to the state, well above the pro-rata requirement of 6.30 LMT so far. According to the DoF, the state has already recorded sales of 7.08 LMT of Urea during the same period, which exceeds its anticipated consumption.
