New Delhi, Oct. 28 -- Home Minister Amit Shah today approved the advance release of Rs 20 crore as the second instalment of the Central share of the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) to Nagaland for the year 2025-26, an official statement said.
The fund will help the state provide immediate relief to people affected by extremely heavy rainfall, flash floods, and landslides during this year's southwest monsoon, a Home Ministry statement said.
During the financial year 2025-26, the Central Government has already released Rs 15,554 crore to 27 states under SDRF and Rs 2,267.44 crore to 15 states under NDRF.
