Ranchi, July 29 -- The Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ) is strengthening its position as a national leader in renewable energy. After helping set standards for solar cookers, the university is now playing a key role in updating India's rules for solar water heaters.
Prof. Sanjay Kumar Samdarshi, Head of CUJ's Energy Engineering Department, has been chosen to lead a panel set up by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). This expert group will review and improve the current norms for solar water heaters, making them more energy-efficient and suitable for today's climate and usage patterns.
