Dimapur, Nov. 21 -- A six-member inter-ministerial central team (IMCT) is on a three-day visit to Nagaland from Wednesday to assess the extent of damage caused by recent floods and landslides across districts in the state.
Team leader and joint secretary, MHA, Gaya Prasad, said the IMCT's purpose was to conduct an on-the-spot assessment of the extent of damage from natural calamities like floods and landslides that happened across Nagaland during the monsoon season in 2025.
Prasad assured that the team will do justice to the people within the rules, regulations and guidelines, adding a final report will be submitted to the central government, which will include recommendations for relief and long-term solutions.
