Mumbai, Aug. 19 -- Central Railway suspended all Harbour Line services between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and Kurla stations from 11:20 am on Tuesday after tracks submerged under 12 inches of floodwater.

The rising Mithi River breached adjacent rail sections following relentless downpours, forcing a halt until further notice.

Simultaneously, Main Line services between Kurla and Sion were halted due to severe waterlogging on tracks. Hiren Meena, Divisional Railway Manager of Central Railway's Mumbai division, confirmed the suspension in a social media post, citing "waterlogging at Chunnabhatti station" as the primary cause for the Harbour Line disruption.
