Indora (Himachal), Sept. 10 -- A Central inter-ministerial team visited the Indora subdivision to assess the damage caused by heavy rains and excess water release from the Pong Dam, which led to a sharp rise in the Beas river, officials told UNI.
The team comprised Kandarp V. Patel, Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, and Deepa Shekhar Singhal, Under Secretary, Ministry of Rural Development, while Rahul Chauhan, Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Dharamshala, acted as the coordinator. Administrative officials and representatives of various departments also accompanied them.
The team conducted a detailed inspection of several affected areas and reviewed the extent of damage.
