Bhubaneswar, Aug. 18 -- A Central Agricultural University will be set up in Sambalpur under the provisions of the Central Agricultural University Act, 1992.
The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Agriculture & Farmers' Empowerment, K. V. Singh Deo.
The proposed university aims to produce graduates and post-graduates with global competitiveness in agriculture and allied sciences.
It will also focus on enhancing productivity, developing sustainable and profitable farming systems, and advancing research and innovation in agriculture.
