New Delhi, Aug. 11 -- The Delhi Legislative Assembly will host the All India Speakers' Conference on August 24-25, marking 100 years since Vitthalbhai Patel became the first Indian to preside over the country's Central Legislative Assembly.

The event will include a grand exhibition, a documentary on Patel's life and parliamentary role, and the release of a special commemorative postage stamp.

The conference will be inaugurated by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and conclude under the chairmanship of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.
