Aizawl, Feb. 17 -- Chief Executive Member (CEM) of Chakma Autonomous District Council (CADC), Molin Kumar Chakma, won the vote of confidence in the House, securing his position as the council's leader.

The floor test was conducted on Monday at Kamalanagar, the headquarters of CADC in south Mizoram.

The confidence vote was necessitated by a directive from the Mizoram government, issued on January 31, 2025, which required the CEM to prove his majority within 30 days of appointment. Following this, the CADC Chairman issued a notification for the test.
