Hamirpur, Oct. 16 -- Vinay Kumar, Commandant (Retired Lieutenant Commander) of the 10th Battalion of the Home Guards, Hamirpur, has appealed to all residents of the district to exercise caution while celebrating Diwali to avoid any accidents during this joyous festival.
He said in a statement today that during Diwali, there is a risk of fires from fireworks, crackers, sparklers, or the lighting of lamps. Taking a few simple precautions during this time can help prevent many accidents.
