Chennai, Aug. 18 -- Urging he Election Commission of India (ECI) to be more transparent
and voter-friendly if 'fair elections' was its true aim, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President
M K Stalin today said the interview by the CEC raises more questions than providing answers to
the issues raised by the Opposition Congress-led INDIA Bloc.
Posing seven questions to the ECI, Mr Stalin sought to know how could there could so many
deletions of eligible voters when house-to-house enumeration was undertaken.
Pointing out that enrolment of new voters was abnormally low, he asked whether these young
voters were enumerated and any database been compiled to show how many youngsters who
turned 18 on the qualifying date were included.
