Chennai, Feb. 25 -- With the Assembly elections due in five states, the Election Commission of India (ECI) had already initiated the process of holding the democratic exercise in these states.
The Special Intensification Revision of electoral rolls has been completed and the final electoral rolls was released by Tamil Nadu Chief Electoral Officer Ms Archana Patnaik on February 23.
Ahead of announcement of the schedule for the elections, a high level ECI delegation headed by Chief Election Commission C Gyanesh Kumar is visiting the poll-bound states to review the preparedness.
