New Delhi, Feb. 20 -- The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved extension in service of India's Chief Economic Advisor (CEA) Dr V Anantha Nageswaran for two years till March 2027.
Ministry of Finance in its office order said that the tenure of the CEA has been extended on contract basis up to March 31, 2027 or until further order whichever is earlier.
"This issues with approval of the competent authority," said the office order dated February 20, 2025.
The government had appointed Dr Nageswaran as the CEA in January 2022.
