New Delhi, Aug. 13 -- As the hike in board examination fee drew severe criticism from various stakeholders, the CBSE on Tuesday announced to restore the previous rule of Rs 50 from the student while the rest amount from the state government for those belonging to SC/ST category.
The CBSE stated that on the direction of the Human Resource and Development Minister, it was decided to restore practice of depositing only Rs 50 on cbse registration portal from SC/ST students of Delhi government schools.
Delhi government will bear the increased cost of Board exam fee of SC/ST students, the examination body said.
