Hyderabad/ New Delhi, Jan. 16 -- In a move aimed at strengthening MSME and cross-border e-commerce exports, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has extended export incentives under the 'Duty Drawback, RoDTEP and RoSCTL schemes' to exports made through the postal mode in electronic form, effective January 15, 2026.

Welcoming the decision, the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) in a statement on Friday said the measure would provide long-awaited relief to small exporters, particularly those operating from smaller towns and remote regions who rely heavily on postal channels.
