Kochi, Sept. 28 -- Central Bureau of Investigation team, probing the misappropriation of funds in the Life Mission project at Wadakkanchery, has decided to interrogate Swapna Suresh, a key accused in the gold smuggling case.
CBI has named Santhosh Eapan, owner of Unitac Builders, as the first accused in the case. The probe team evaluates that crucial information will be obtained from Swapna relating to the project, sources said on Monday.
As per reports, CBI will submit an application in the Court for the custody of Swapna and P S Sarith, another accused in the gold smuggling case.
Earlier, Swapna had given a statement that she received Rs one crore as commission from the project. As per the contract signed, the builder was to be chosen...
