Itanagar, July 24 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested an Assistant Professor of the College of Agriculture, Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh, for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 55,000 from a private individual.
According to a statement from the premier probe agency, the case was registered on July 23, 2025 (Wednesday) against the Assistant Professor, a private person linked to a private company, and unknown others. The public servant is accused of demanding a bribe in exchange for awarding a contract and facilitating the release of payments.
