New Delhi, Sept. 12 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today said that they have arrested four persons, including three officers of Military Engineer Services (MES), Sagar, M.P. and one middleman, while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 80,000 from a man.
The CBI registered the case against Nitesh Kumar Singh, Garrison Engineer (GE) of MES, Sagar (M.P.), and Rajesh Mishra, a middleman, alleging they demanded a 2% bribe (Rs. 1,00,000) of the contract value for handing over the site to a contractor for repair and maintenance work.
After negotiation, the accused agreed to accept a bribe of Rs 80,000 (on 1.5%), of the contract value from the complainant.
