New Delhi, Nov. 7 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed an FIR (first information report) against former Punjab DGP Mohammad Mustafa and his wife, former minister Razia Sultana, in connection with the murder of their son, Aqil Akhter, who had publicly accused his parents of conspiring against him.

The case, initially registered at the Mansa Devi Complex police station in Panchkula on October 20, was taken over by the central agency after a notification from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).

A CBI official stated, "An FIR has been registered against Mohammad Mustafa, Razia Sultana, the wife of the deceased, and the sister of the deceased, under sections 103(1) and 61 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS)." Th...
