New Delhi, Feb. 24 -- A Special CBI Court in Chennai has sentenced Ubaidullah alias F. Hameed alias Ubaithullah Khan Faizal to four years of imprisonment in connection with forgery and securing multiple passports. The court, while awarding the jail term, also imposed a fine of Rs 20,000 on him.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered the case in 2018 on allegations that Ubaidullah, with dishonest intent, obtained multiple passports under fictitious names by submitting forged documents. The accused also travelled abroad using fake passports to cheat the Customs Department.
