Visakhapatnam, Sept. 17 -- The CBI Court in Visakhapatnam on Tuesday convicted and sentenced former Central Excise and Customs Inspector Kalaka Ramdas, private individual Polaki Janakiram, and M/s Sri Balaji General Trading Company in a Rs 32.28 crore fraud case.
The court awarded five years' imprisonment to both Ramdas and Janakiram, along with fines of Rs 1,01,000 and Rs 2,51,000, respectively. The company, represented by Janakiram, was fined Rs 2,01,000, bringing the total fine to Rs 5,53,000.
