Bhopal, Aug. 21 -- A Special CBI Court in Jabalpur has sentenced three postal department officials to jail, in connection with prevention of corruption case, issuing fake passbooks and causing a loss of Rs 1,21,82,921 to the government.
The accused are identified as Vishal Kumar Ahirwar, Hemant Singh, and Ranu Namdeo. Vishal was sentenced to five years of rigorous imprisonment with a fine of Rs 39,000, while Hemant Singh and Ranu Namdeo were sentenced to four years of jail with a fine of Rs 7000 each.
