Nagpur, Oct. 9 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has unearthed a fake medical bill racket involving a doctor and a chemist linked to Western Coalfields Limited (WCL), officials said today.
The probe agency said it had received a complaint against Dr Prithvi Krishna Patta on September 17, alleging that he was fabricating medical prescriptions, based on which the chemist was creating inflated or bogus bills under WCL's cashless medical scheme for employees.
The CBI has reportedly collected several documents and billing records as part of its probe.
