New Delhi, Oct. 8 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today registered a corruption case against Dr. Prithvi Krishna Patta, the Medical Superintendent of the Western Coalfields Ltd. (WCL) Dispensary in Coal Estate, Civil Lines, Nagpur and Kamlesh N. Lalwani, the proprietor of a private medical store in Nagpur, for their alleged involvement in a fraudulent medical billing scheme.

According to the FIR, the accused Medical Superintendent prepared false medical prescriptions, which were then used by the proprietor of the private medical store to raise inflated bills and receive payments from WCL.
