Lucknow, July 24 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a proclaimed offender, Bablu Alias Ravindra Yadav, from Gulawati, Bulandshahar, UP, in a Bank fraud case.
The arrest was made on Thursday, CBI said in a statement here.
The bank fraud case was registered by CBI on December 5, 2011, on the basis of written complaint of AGM, State Bank of India, Meerut, alleging that one Nawal Kishore Gupta, the then Branch Manager, Punjab National Bank, Sikandarabad Branch, along with the owner of a private company and other unknown persons, committed fraud during the year 2011 to the tune of Rs. 1.18 Crore through a fake current account by producing a fake voter ID/PAN card/fake rent agreement.
