New Delhi, Sept. 9 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today said that they have arrested the Managing Director of an Indore-based private company and a private person in a Rs 183 crore fake bank guarantee scam.

The accused allegedly used forged PNB guarantees to secure Rs 974 crore in irrigation projects and received Rs 85 crore as advance from MP Jal Nigam.

A senior CBI official said that they registered three separate cases following directions from the High Court of Madhya Pradesh against Anil Kumar, Security Officer of Giddi C Colliery Project, Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), Deepak Kumar, Clerk of the firm, Naresh Kumar, Security Guard of the firm and three private persons, Mohammad Saddam, Israel Ansari, Mohammad Tabarak...
