New Delhi, March 31 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today said that it has arrested an Assistant Commissioner of CGST posted in Ratlam of Madhya Pradesh while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 1.5 lakh.
The CBI registered the case on Tuesday against Shankar Parmar, Assistant Commissioner, CGST, Ratlam, and a private individual on allegations that they demanded a bribe of Rs 5 lakh through a middleman for not initiating GST proceedings against the complainant's firm.
