New Delhi, Feb. 8 -- The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has invited inputs and suggestions from stakeholders for the Income-tax Act, 2025, which received the assent of the President in August 2025 and will come into force from April 1, 2026.
As part of the consultative process, the CBDT has invited inputs under four broad categories namley simplification of language, reduction of litigation, reduction of compliance burden, and identification of redundant or obsolete Rules and Forms.
To streamline the feedback process, a dedicated utility has been launched on the Income Tax Department's e-filing portal.
Stakeholders can submit their suggestions by providing their name and mobile number, followed by OTP-based validation. The CBDT has...
