Dharamshala, Sept. 2 -- In a heartwarming display of humanity, Noor Mohammad, a resident of Riyali village in Kangra district, provided starving cattle, green fodder that had been stranded without food or water for the past five days on a small island formed due to floods created due release of the Pong Dam water.
The animals had been trapped amid rising waters and strong currents following incessant rains, making any rescue attempt nearly impossible for villagers.
Moved by their plight, Noor Mohammad braved the floodwaters with the help of a boat and carried fresh fodder to the starving cattle. His compassionate act won widespread appreciation from the local community.
