Lucknow, April 19 -- With rising mercury levels, a statewide heat wave awareness campaign has been launched in Uttar Pradesh using creative tools like animated Hindi cartoons, official sources said here on Saturday.
Sources said that the initiative, launched under the directive of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, aims to educate citizens about heat wave preparedness and safety measures using creative and engaging tools.
Sources said that with technical support from UNICEF, the UP State Disaster Management Authority (UPSDMA) has designed a special outreach programme that will leverage animated Hindi cartoon films, posters, pamphlets and vinyl boards to spread the message across the state.
