Tumkur, Sept. 29 -- Karnataka's caste survey is moving at an unprecedented pace, reflecting the state government's determination to complete the exercise swiftly.
In Tumkur district alone, 1,59,555 houses have already been surveyed out of a total 7,55,483, with a daily target of 50,000 households set to accelerate the process.
State Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara said the survey is being conducted across all 122,085 blocks in Karnataka, with specially appointed school teachers overseeing the work. "The census is being conducted rapidly, with updates taken every hour," he added, noting that 6,537 personnel have been deployed in Tumkur district to ensure smooth execution.
