Hyderabad, June 27 -- Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment and Republican Party of India (RPI) president Ramdas Athawale on Friday said that the upcoming census will include a comprehensive caste enumeration, not limited to just the Other Backward Classes (OBCs) as demanded by the Congress party.
Addressing the media in Hyderabad, the Minister stated that the caste-inclusive census being planned by the Centre goes beyond the Congress's call for an exclusive OBC census. He emphasised that it is a broader initiative aimed at a more inclusive data collection for policy-making.
