Lucknow, April 30 -- Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the decision to conduct caste census and said it is a decisive initiative in the direction of ensuring proper identification and appropriate participation of deprived, backward and neglected sections in government schemes.
Taking to X, the CM wrote, "The decision by the CCPA (Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs, under the leadership of the respected Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to include a caste census in the upcoming census is unprecedented and commendable, in the collective interest of 140 crore citizens."
