Thiruvananthapuram, April 8 -- In connection with the 2026 Kerala Legislative Assembly elections, an Election Flying Squad has conducted an inquiry into allegations that money was distributed to voters by Palakkad constituency candidate Shobha Surendran.
The complaint alleged that cash was distributed on April 8 in the Theruvakkurissi area of Kannadi panchayat in Palakkad to influence voters. Acting on media reports, the district election authorities immediately deployed a Flying Squad to the area for investigation.
