Deoria, March 11 -- The District Magistrate of Deoria, Divya Mittal, has ordered registration of a case in connection with a fake inheritance entry and misuse of government funds in the Salempur area of Uttar Pradesh.
A lekhpal involved in the case has been suspended while departmental action has been recommended against a revenue inspector, officials confirmed on Wednesday.
According to officials, the case relates to land in Padri Gajraj village. Records show that the original landholder, Feku son of Sukhan, died about 30 years ago and had no legal heirs.
