Lucknow, Dec. 29 -- A case has been registered at Saadatganj police station in Lucknow over an alleged offensive social media post targeting a particular religious community.
The complaint was filed after an objectionable post surfaced on Facebook, which allegedly used abusive language along with religious images, hurting religious sentiments and attempting to create social tension.
According to the complaint lodged by Iftikhar Hussain, a resident near Dargah Hazrat Abbas, the Facebook ID named "Mon Sultan" shared posts containing pictures of Shia religious leaders and others, accompanied by derogatory and objectionable remarks.
