Barabanki, Jan. 8 -- A case has been registered against a Congress leader in Barabanki for allegedly posting controversial content against the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on social media, police said on Thursday.
According to the police, the FIR was lodged at the Mohammadpur Khala police station following a complaint by an RSS worker. The complaint alleged that a post shared on Facebook was intended to defame the organisation and could hurt religious sentiments.
The complainant, Dhaniram Gupta, a resident of the Munshiganj area, stated that the post was shared by Adarsh Patel, a Congress state secretary and a resident of Kanikpur village. Gupta alleged that the post described the RSS as "India's largest terrorist organisation."Gupta...
