Mathura, Feb. 19 -- A late-night drive to attend a wedding ended in tragedy in Mathura, where four people, including two law students, lost their lives after their speeding car plunged into a canal near the Magorra police station area on Wednesday night, officials said on Thursday.
The group was travelling from Mahavan to Deeg in neighbouring Rajasthan to attend a wedding when the accident occurred. According to police and local residents, the driver failed to negotiate a sharp turn along the Govardhan bypass route, lost control of the vehicle and fell about six metres into a canal.
