New Delhi, Dec. 14 -- : Following field inspections, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) criticised the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) for recurring negligence in road upkeep, noting high dust levels, waste accumulation, and waste-burning incidents across various parts of the city.

On December 12, the CAQM, as part of 'Operation Clean Air', deployed 19 teams drawn from its flying squads and the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) to inspect roads under the DDA's jurisdiction.

Inspections were carried out on 136 road stretches across the city, during which teams gathered geotagged and timestamped photographs that formed part of a consolidated report submitted to the Commission.
