Mumbai, Dec. 8 -- Specialty Surgical Oncology Hospital (SSO), a chain of surgical cancer hospitals in Western India, has raised 2.8 million dollars in funding from the Everhope Oncology platform, which is backed by Narayana Health, W Health Ventures and 2070 Health.
The investment marks an important step in SSO's plan to expand its network and strengthen access to affordable, specialised cancer surgery.
India records nearly 2 million new cancer cases each year, a figure expected to double by 2045. With an increasing burden on public and private cancer centres, SSO aims to scale a model that delivers high-quality surgical oncology care through organ-specific specialist teams.
