Kozhikode, April 6 -- In the April 9 assembly polls, the BJP is attempting to shatter the long-standing duopoly of the Left Democratic Front (LDF) and the United Democratic Front (UDF) in Kerala.

The saffron party is aiming to break Kerala's long-standing UDF-LDF duopoly, focusing on strengthening its base in key areas like Thiruvananthapuram, Palakkad, Kasargod and Thrissur.

The BJP has shown potential to challenge the traditional bipolarity, having come in second in multiple election scenarios in key areas, and is aiming to make significant gains in the 2026 polls.
