Thrissur, Dec. 9 -- Public campaign for the second phase of elections to the three-tier rural and urban local bodies in Kerala ended Tuesday evening with all the three main political parties highlighting their strengths at all major road intersections in all the seven northern districts, from Thrissur to Kasargod.

Thrissur, Malappuram, Palakkad, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasargod districts will go to the polls on December 11 in the second phase, while polling in the first phase of the seven southern districts from Ernakulam to Thiruvananthapuram ended peacefully today.

Counting of votes in both the phases will be held on December 13.
