Hyderabad, Feb. 25 -- Speakers at a round table meeting organised by the Telangana Praja Natya Mandali on Wednesday urged the state government to formulate a comprehensive cultural policy and extend all-round support to artists who have dedicated their lives to social awakening through art.

The meeting, held at Makghoom Bhavan, Himayatnagar on the theme "Comprehensive Cultural Policy - Recognition, Health and Employment for Artists", demanded issuance of identity and health cards to artists and reservation benefits for the cultural sector on the lines of sports. The session was chaired by Praja Natya Mandali State General Secretary and Cultural Advisory Council member Palle Narsimha.
