Kolkata, Dec. 19 -- The Calcutta High Court on Thursday transferred a TMC leader's murder case of 2010 to the CBI from the CID of West Bengal, expressing dissatisfaction over the snail pace of investigation despite the case being reopened three times in the past 15 years.

Calcutta High Court single bench judge Justice Tirthankar Ghosh after hearing arguments directed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to probe the alleged crime in which Trinamool Congress leader Rabin Ghosh was shot dead in a firing in the Prasadpur high school at Jangipara in the Hooghly on February 14, in 2010.

It was alleged that Rabin Ghosh was shot dead by the service revolver from then officer-in-charge of Jangipur Police station Tapas Brati Chakraborty when ...
