Kolkata, Dec. 13 -- Expressing its disappointment over delay in executing the work for completing a 366-meters stretch of Kolkata Metro at Chingrighata in the eastern part of the city, Calcutta High Court has directed the West Bengal government, the Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) and other stakeholders to hold a meeting on December 17 and decide on when work on the unfinished part is to be taken up.

It was alleged that the city police had not given clearance of "no objection" to the executive agency (RVNL) fearing traffic jams on the busy stretch at Chingrighata where the concrete blocks is to be lifted to connect the bridge.
