Mysuru, Dec. 1 -- The race for the chief ministerial candidate in Karnataka Congress has further heated up after a cake mentioning Siddaramaiah as next chief minister was cut at an event organised by his supporters. The senior Congress leader himself cut a cake weighing 75 kg with the words 'Next CM Siddaramaiah' written on it. Not only this, these words were repeated throughout the event and were handed over swords in his honour. Speaking at Kanaka Jayanti, Siddaramaiah flayed BJP and Sangh Parivar for promoting caste system and inequality in society. He urged backward communities to unite to fight this social injustice.
