New Delhi, Jan. 13 -- Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) on Tuesday welcomed the Central Government's decision to ban 10-minute delivery services offered by quick commerce platforms, calling the move timely, humane and far-sighted, as it prioritises the safety and lives of delivery personnel.

CAIT said the decision acknowledges long-standing concerns raised by the trading community regarding the unregulated and risky business model of quick commerce.

Clarifying that the issue is not new, CAIT stated that it has consistently cautioned the government and the public about the dangers associated with unrealistic delivery timelines.
