Cairn Oil & Gas partners with EMGS for 3D Electro-Magnetic survey in KG Basin
New Delhi, April 25 -- Cairn Oil & Gas, a subsidiary of Vedanta Limited and India's largest private oil and gas exploration company, has announced a strategic partnership with Norwegian company Electromagnetic Geoservices (EMGS) to acquire a cutting-edge 3D Controlled Source Electro-magnetic (CSEM) survey for its ongoing exploration campaign in the deepwater Krishna-Godavari (KG) block on India's East Coast.
CSEM, a geophysical method known for mapping subsurface resistivity, is poised to enhance the accuracy of hydrocarbon detection in the region.
