Aizawl, Sept. 7 -- Mizoram's ambitious plan to establish an Export Import Business Training Centre (EIBTC) at Zuangtui has turned into a glaring example of financial mismanagement, with the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) criticising the state for spending Rs 4.39 crore on a project that remains incomplete even after more than a decade.
The centre was first proposed in 2010 under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry's ASIDE scheme, with the State Level Export Promotion Committee (SLEPC), headed by the chief secretary, tasked with implementing it.
