Bhubaneswar, Dec. 13 -- Police in Odisha's Bargarh district have arrested two suspected drug peddlers and seized 2,700 bottles of codeine-laced Eskuf cough syrup, a banned substance under the Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic Substance (NDPS), in an ongoing anti-drug operation.
Acting upon specific tipoff regarding hoarding, selling and transportation of cough syrup by suspected drug peddlers near Canal Road in Bargarh, a raid was conducted and two persons were intercepted with the banned substances.
